KIWAMI by Katsu-ya represents a more refined expression of Master Sushi Chef Katsuya Uechi’s culinary vision. Opened in Studio City in 2009, just down Ventura Boulevard from the original Sushi Katsu-ya, KIWAMI was created as a more intimate and elevated concept with a greater emphasis on traditional Japanese cuisine, premium ingredients, and the art of sushi.
Meaning “ultimate” in Japanese, KIWAMI showcases Chef Katsuya’s decades of experience through carefully prepared sushi and sashimi, seasonal dishes, Katsu-ya favorites, and an elevated omakase experience.
