We've ordered Gordos burritos before and had good experiences so, we decided to try their plates.
WOW! Super glad we did.
Sooo. Much. Food.
The spicy Grilled Chicken (P) was soft and perfectly spiced with plenty of rice, beans, and toppings (spend the extra $$ for guacamole, sour cream and cheese; you won't be disappointed).
The Chips and 1/4 Pint Guac were an excellent appetizer but we're getting the 1/2 pint next time.
So far, Gordos is our go-to Taqueria.

The Carnitas (T) was packed ! So good tasting & fresh, need to try other taco variations :) The Super All Meat (B) was so filling & was the bomb. Will need to hsve the other 1/2 later. Chips & Pico de Gallo & 1/4 Pt. Guacamole with Bottled Water all made for a super filling dinner.

Cutest spinach wrap, a bit bitter but overall it was tasty! The pinto beans were less harsh and easy on the stomach than black beans and there were no mistakes, no food safety errors. One added slice of tomato but not to worry! The taste overall was just superb and only think I would recommend would be to not include the cheese for a lighter feeling. The rice was authentic and actually left a nice full feeling in the stomach. Perfect and could not recommend more! Love Gordo's for their price and delivery and were consistent even with years passing of not going!

The taqueria super burrito has become SF's signature food like the cheese steak in Philly, the hot dog in New York, and deep dish pizza in Chicago. There may be as many as 100 different taquerias in the City alone, and hundreds more throughout the Bay Area, each with their own recipes of carne asada, carnitas, Chile verde, etc.
As with other regional or civic foods, if you ask a dozen locals where to get the best burrito, you'll get a dozen different answers. But year-in, year-out, Gordo's has delivered consistent excellence and value. All of Gordo's 3 locations in the Richmond, the Sunset, and the Castro just slightly edge out a short list of competitors in the City that includes Pancho Villa and La Taqueria in the Mission, Nick's Crispy Tacos in Cow Hollow, Tia Margarita in the Richmond, and La Corneta in Glen Park.
My standby is the Chile Verde which is a pork stew made with green chili peppers and tomatillos until it is fall-apart tender. I recommend the Chile Verde Super Burrito with pintos negros and spinach tortilla.

I've been eating at Gordos my entire life just like my mom who has been eating here since the day they opened, literally (the original on Clement) so clearly not a fan. They have the best carnitas & pollo. Also the best quesadillas to be found ❤❤❤
