This was my first time ever having flan, and this was exactly how I imagined it - caramel custard. The signature taco is my absolute favorite. I usually end up getting the elotes and horchata too.

A great burrito can just hit the spot so well. I really appreciated this burrito. Perfect combination of ingredients. A nice touch was the variety of sauces they included. Great to have some spicy options!

It was ok, not great. I ordered 2 taco plates. Small portions for the price. Steak was chewy and dry as if it was reheated not cooked fresh. Steak shouldn't be dry in a taco.

We love ordering from here and we've ordered from here for years! This most recent time was unusual, however, because the fried taco shell (corn) for the beans and the fried shell (flour) for the taco salad tasted like soap or cleaning products. First, I called Taco Maya to let them know and the guy who answered the phone said it's impossible for the taco shells to taste like soap or cleaning products. I asked if they added new herbs or spices to the shells or food. He said no, impossible. So, I asked if it was possible that perhaps the cooking or prep surfaces or the storage for the tortillas were being cleaned and cleaning products accidentally got into the food. He was adamant so I stopped pushing it.
We kept tasting the food and realized it's not the meat or the beans or the veggies themselves---these parts tasted fine. Only the FRIED taco shells (both corn and flour) tasted like soap or cleaning/disinfecting products. We stopped eating it but usually the food is excellent. I called Taco Maya a second time and spoke to a different employee who had no idea what I was talking about. I briefly filled him in and informed him that we figured out that it was only the fried tortillas that tasted soapy. Maybe the oil or the fryer had gotten a little cleaning product in it. Then thanked him for the otherwise usually delicious food. This second guy wasn't defensive like the 1st guy was, and said he'd look into it.
Anyway, we want to believe that it was a one-time thing and that it won't happen again, because the food, pickled peppers and carrots, drinks, etc. are delicious.

Food was good. I ordered two orders of chips and salsa for $11 total. Not much salsa for something that would be free at the restaurant.
