The BEST pasta in the city! Gio's is a Toronto icon. Consistently great food! We particularly love the Vegetarian Pappardelli and the Tiramisu. They are both absolutely to die for! Every dish is amazing.

The Rigatoni Fennel Sausage Bolognese was a bit undercooked but that's because they are accounting for it to continue cooking while in transit to you. This was a non issue to me, as I just microwaved it for a minute and it came out perfect. In fact I appreciate them thinking of this and making sure the food wasn't mushy by the time it got to you. The Brussels Sprouts Slaw was also very tasty and the portion was good for the price.

Gio Rana’s is one of those rare Toronto places that still feels gloriously real. The food is consistently excellent, the room has actual character, and the whole place feels like it earned its legend instead of manufacturing one. Even better, the iconic Nose out front is a relic of its original, hidden, probably-never-would-have-passed-bylaws incarnation — which honestly makes me love it even more. A true city institution.
