• 14/4/26Call me impressed! Most Vietnamese restaurants are hit or miss, lacking in flavor, poorly executed, stingy or just plain not good. Da Nang is none of the above! The portions are generous, they pay attention to customer notes, the flavors are some of the best I've found in restaurant Vietnamese food... Being Vietnamese myself, I know what the dishes should and should not taste like. They have the most "Vietnamese" menu I've encountered - dishes, not language. Da Nang has the most authentic tasting nouc cham (fish sauce). They use the herbs I know but never expect to see (especially all together) in a restaurant (THAI basil AND mint, PLUS the usual salad veggies). Their meats are flavorful and tender. Their veggies are fresh. The only thing I wasn't impressed with was the peanut sauce. But that's more of a personal preference than a poor quality. (Theirs is heavy on the hoisin and fish sauces. I make mine a bit heavier on the peanut butter side. Theirs is also more liquid, whereas mine is more like a gravy consistency.) Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant and will be ordering from here again in the future.

• 25/7/26I ordered the Pho Ga/chicken. The broth was really good but, the chicken was woody and very gamey tasting. I had to let the second batch sit over night with the onions in the broth to get that taste out of it.
