The King Street has a very generous portion of bacon, one of the best in the city. Flashback Reuben is always reliable, and Gus's is one of the few that does it with pastrami. I like that I can get it delivered still warm, even though I moved to a different neighborhood.

Gus's Special sandwich was tasty and they were generous with the amounts of ingredients. However, the sandwich was not assembled or wrapped as well as other sandwich places, which made the sandwich difficult to eat.

Gus's is community. Every time I shop there I enjoy feeling seen (enough) and valued (enough) as a customer. The quality of their work makes for either good cooking in my kitchen, or enjoying their cooking I can bring home: love their roasted lemon chicken. It is roasted perfectly. They use Mary's chickens. It might not be as inexpensive as a warehouse's offering, but it is value for the money. (I have a gas oven in my rented apartment. I can cook, but it would cost me me even more.) Thank you!

Custom Sandwich with smoked Turkey and Boars Head Ham was so flavorful and dressed exactly as ordered! Mary’s Chicken Salad was good and would be better with relish and egg.
