Wow! I got the omelette here and I was deciding between a couple different places because they are all around the same price and WHOA this one was packed full and damn good. Didn't cheap out on the cheese and the shredded potatoes were fresh and not greasy. Really happy with my omelette and now I know my go to place when I want another one!

If you use processed cheese in your sandwiches please say that in the description. Would not have ordered the ham and cheese sandwich otherwise. Processed cheese tastes absolutely nothing like real cheese! Onion rings portion was generous, tasty and not greasy. Fruit bowl was definitely not anywhere near $12 worth of fruit, banana was mushy and overripe. Did enjoy the cherries, but there was only one strawberry that was cut in half.

If you are older, you will remember the ubiquitous Chinese owned cafes which dotted the landscape in every city, town and village across BC in the "Olden Days". The food was varied, simple, good and economical. This is Jim's Cafe, it is like a breath from the past. I doubt you can find any place where the food is as cheap or as good as here. The many breakfasts are excellent and their hamburgers delicious! Where can you find a delicious breakfast for $8.50 or a wonderful bacon-cheese-mushroom burger with huge plate of excellent fries for $11.00? My friend and I try to make it at least once a month.

Good Corned Beef Hash & Regular Breakfast, perfect portions, hot, fresh ingredients. The food was ready so fast, considering it was around noon.

The hashbrowns were a little undone, but the breakfast overall was as great as ever. Hollandaise sauce is always great. Jim's café is the best kept secret in New Westminster.
