• 2/11/24I've tried all sorts of different sushi places and none compare to this place! That was the BEST sushi I've ever had in my life. The rolls were smaller then I thought theyd be. But probably cause it wasnt packed with rice! The seafood was very fresh & generous portion given. My new go too for a sushi fix WOW!

• 6/6/25First time ordering from aburi. The portions are a little too small for the price. It's about 85-90% just rice with a thin layer of the topping. It tastes okay, then it's all gone very fast. It's more like sushi bake lol. But some sushi bake out there have more flavor and topping than the portions I got. If you wanna try something new, this is a good place to try out but other sushi places will probably be a bit less expensive and be more satisfying. I honestly expected more/better considering all the fuss about this place.

• 18/8/25It’s the best sushi in Winnipeg and I’m not open to debating. The rice is perfectly soft and fresh and the Aburi style is phenomenal. I will always recommend.

• 30/5/25Aburi Spicy Tuna Salmon Mix Sushi (6 Pieces) was really tasty and Avocado Kappa Roll (6 Pieces) was nice and fresh. Gyoza (5 Pieces) was still crispy and tasted fresh as well. Happy to find an affordable sushi place close to home. Cant wait to try more pressed sushi.

• 11/6/22For the price that it is, I expected more wow factor. Some of the rolls were bland in flavour. My order of Chirashi Don had a clear fishy taste to it and I was severely disappointed with it. It was expensive for something that tasted fishy and in not a good way
