hands down the BEST General Tso's Chicken | 左公鸡 in the city. fresh, crispy, and perfectly spiced. this place is not like the others,THIS ishe Chinese food you wish other places tasted like. Huge portions, I would definitely order aggin!

Chicken with Mixed Vegetables | 素菜鸡 was amazing, great portion of food and rice. Add some chili oil to that boi and might be the cleanest, tastiest meal I've had in a while.
The pan fried dumplings were a lil mid and sauce too vinegary for me but I appreciated them!

The egg rolls were burnt and inedible. The Beef with Mixed Vegetables | 什菜牛 was exceedingly mediocre. It was very bland and too salty. The beef was tender but boring. I expected a better texture from the vegetables. Definitely not worth the price even though the serving size was generous.

Finally, a Chinese food restaurant with flavor!! As a NYer born and raised, I've been trying for nearly 4 years to find a decent, flavorful Chinese food place here in DC. Every other restaurant I've tried has made inexplicably bland food that needed to be drowned in soy or hoisin sauce to taste like anything. Big Wong is a miracle - delicious, savory, robust flavor like I'm used to from NY.
A massive bonus: the Barbecued Roast Pork | 叉燒 is very savory-forward with minimal sweetness. As someone sensitive to sweet, I absolutely love how non-sweet it was. It was also incredibly tender and juicy, not tough and chewy like so many other restaurants I've tried here in DC.
If you're from NY or just like NY-style Chinese food with rich, deep flavor, you NEED to try Big Wong!

Absolutely delicious. This is the first time I'm leaving a good review after moving to the US a year plus ago. There's one other vendor I've enjoyed this whole time. I have ordered the pork rice twice - great portion, lots of meat and they included fresh chillis both times I requested. The last time I ordered the wings. They are so big which usually means the meat is nasty, but the meat was perfect, the crust was so crunchy. I find takeout in the US expensive compared to the UK but within context this is worth it! Please keep up your standards because I will order again and again.
