The brisket and fries are delicious. I just tried Blackwood BBQ for the first time last week and had to order it again . The ribs are great too.

The sandwiches are smaller than you may expect, but paired with sides are very filling. This will be a rare order for me due to price but it is outstanding and worth the price -- one of the best briskets we've had in a while

Brisket was tender and fatty, sprouts were ok but sweet and dripping in syrup. Beans were good and smoky, husband said the sausage was tasty. Cornbread was meh. Portions were decent since the food is rich. Probably wouldn't order again.

I have zero complaints about the flavor of the food. It was also my first experience with smoked jackfruit! My ONLY complaint, and the reason this is not 5 stars, is that I was rather disappointed to get home and open the box and see the amount of the meat I was given. 2 meats on the split Split Meat Platter, and they were really small amounts for almost $18.
But, really, that is my only complaint. The food itself is amazing, and I wanted more of those brussels sprouts!

This was just a shame. The brisket meat was so dry (yes I ordered it lean, doesn't mean it is dry). The PORTIONS just made no sense for the price you're being charged. The brussel sprouts, yeah the charred black things on the second picture, disgusting. The corn bread? A disgrace to the corn bread community (and it was an upcharge!!). The ONLY thing that saved this place from a 1 star review was that the sausage was ok and the Mac and cheese was good. BUT LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THE MAC N CHEESE PORTION !! It fit in the palm of my hand and I have small hands... if you're going to survive in Oak Brook I highly recommend you up your barbeque game and get a chef who knows how to cook their greens and corn bread !!!
