• 20/6/26We got the family pack, for the $84 total I paid, I was expecting a little more tortillas for the 2lbs of meat with only 5 tortillas. The meat was good and the salsa was good. Wish it came taco prepped with lime, cilantro and onion. Cilantros has a similar family platter with the works.

• 12/11/25Pozole was very good, came hot. There were huge pieces of meat, barely any fat. Im a picky eater too so this was great. Filled me up too. Arroz was a little dry and bland. I'm about to order again for dinner haha.

• 8/4/26The Caldo de res had one piece of corn meat and broth. There was no potatoes no carrots. I had just ordered this two days ago and it was so good but this time it lacked the vegetables and that's what I'm looking for because I'm not feeling well, just a little disappointed. I put a picture down below.

• 30/11/24Before I get started, I want to say I am not the sort of reviewer who gives five stars as long as nothing goes wrong. In my mind, a three star experience is an average experience, because we must leave room to recognize genuine excellence. Keep that in mind as you consider my 5-star rating. For the city of Maricopa, my experience was truly amazing, and I will definitely be ordering from Carniceria Sonora again.
I have seen them in the app many times, but I always shied away because higher-rated restaurants have been consistently disappointing in this city. If those places have 4.5 or 4.6, why would I expect anything decent from a restaurant rated 4.3? But it was Thanksgiving, and most everything else was closed. So at lunch time, we gave it a try.
I ordered a burrito with barbacoa, and it was the best burrito I have ever had delivered through Door Dash. I don't know if it was the burrito itself, their excellent orange sauce, or a combination of the two, but this tasted like the sort of food I have been sorely missing since moving to this city 3 years ago.
My wife ordered a burrito with carne asada, and while she mentioned there were some gristly pieces, she has come to expect that from carne asada. She was also thoroughly impressed by her food, and that is an accomplishment. She is far more picky than I am, especially where Mexican food is concerned.
I cannot speak about any of the other items, but the two we have tried thus far have both been top notch. I could probably eat that burrito every night and be satisfied with it. In fact, I'm planning to order it again tonight, just one day later.
At some point, I will definitely branch out and try other items, and when I do, maybe I will find that their lower rating is deserved. If that happens, I will update. Until then, I can't help but look forward to enjoying more good food.
