The Chicken Tortilla Soup - Large was perfect as is. I liked that the broth came separately, so I could have it as fresh as possible. The Flan was excellent. Very smooth. I almost got the 5 pack of Sopapillas. I'm glad I only got one. They are huge and tasty. The last thing I needed was to have access to more than one, lol. I would order all of it again.

The El Fenix Dinner is always a banger,. Tons of food. Tasty old school favorites. But I'll skip the Topo Chico next time. Paid way too much for a small styrofoam cup filled with seltzer water. Half of it leaked into the plastic wrap they used to protect it during delivery too. Thanks for trying, I guess?

Nice portions with great taste! Fresh pico, guacamole sour cream with a good portion of that on the side! Most of all the cheese was added on heavy like I like it and melted just right didn't have to ask for it! Superb food as always will definitely order again

Two Chalupas were sloppy, soggy,
And tasteless. Paid extra for chicken and it was barely added on the Two Chalupas.
Bag of chips were fresh, hot sauce was bland.
Fresh Guacamole Half Pint was ok, not seasoned well.
Not the El Fenix were remember.
Wasted money. Didn't eat the Two Chalupas, too watery and gross looking .ingredients slid all over the container off the soggy tortilla.

Best chips, best flour & corn tortillas & best hot sauce & best Queso!!! There are so many Tex-Mex restaurant good choices but IMHO El Fenix still dominates these most important basics & is the reason they are the oldest restaurant in Dallas.
