We've eaten at another location in the past and had a good experience, so we expected the same quality and flavor here. Unfortunately, this location fell well short of expectations.
We paid $12 for chips and guacamole, and both were disappointing. The guacamole arrived in a cardboard, Chinese takeout style container rather than a proper, sealed container. Worse, it was watery and completely bland. The chips weren't any better. For the price, we expected fresh, homemade chips that were perfectly seasoned. Instead, we got what tasted like stale, plain, out-of-the-bag chips without even a sprinkle of salt. If these were homemade, they were easily the worst we've ever had.
We also ordered a variety of street tacos, and they were anything but authentic or flavorful. The steak was tender, but completely bland, with virtually no seasoning or flavor. The pork tacos were equally disappointing. The meat was bright orange from the excessive spices, yet somehow still managed to taste bland and unrecognizable. How do you smother pork in that much seasoning and still manage to eliminate any actual flavor?
To make matters worse, the corn tortillas were completely raw. That alone was enough to ruin the tacos.
These were, without question, some of the worst street tacos we've ever had at a Mexican restaurant. Honestly, Taco Bell would have been a better option.
Unfortunately, our positive experience at another location did not carry over to this one. We won't be returning, especially when there are much better options in our area for flavorful, authentic Mexican food. For what we paid, the quality was simply unacceptable.
