• 28/8/26Great Reuben Sandwich ! Substantial; it's big enough for two. Love the thousand island dressing which tastes house made. Love the Bowl of Matzo Ball soup, filled with a generous amount of matzo balls. The broth is perfectly seasoned. Will definitely order again.

• 14/1/26Mashed potatoes are very bland.
The pastrami sandwich is great except they don't drain out the juices enough because the bread soaks it up. I only had the sourdough and it's decent not the best sourdough. The bag was not fully secure because looks like someone tried to get into the hole on the side of the tie. The pastrami makes me go back for now.

• 12/7/26Gunther's never dissappoints good German food, the red cabbage is so sweet and soft! Apple Strudel is the best in San Jose! BBQ Lamb Shank always flavorful and filling. Appreciate the side care in packaging and extras included with the meal.

• 23/6/26Gunther's cabbage rolls are very tasty and filling, potato pancakes are to die for. Bread pudding reallly grande. The apple stroudal is best in bay area. A fine source of authentic and comfort foods. We order regularly.

• 4/6/26Gunther’s "Rich Boy" sandwich is a masterclass in the classic, old-school deli experience, arriving piled high with an incredibly generous five-meat lineup of pastrami, corned beef, house-roasted turkey, ham, and wine-cured salami that can easily be split into two substantial meals. Every ingredient tastes remarkably fresh, from the soft, rustic bread to the exceptionally clean, hand-carved turkey. Flavor-wise, it hits all the right notes, expertly balancing the bold, spiced punch of the pastrami and corned beef with the milder meats and the subtle, tangy kick of the salami without ever becoming overly salty. It is a savory, satisfying powerhouse of a sandwich that completely justifies its size, and I would absolutely buy it again the next time a serious deli craving hits.
