• 20/4/25Th food was absolutely delicious. I will say that's the best chicken I've ever had and I have lived in several states and it was absolutely perfect. Their biscuits are a wonderful as well as their hush puppies and sweet potato dumplings, along with their tots. The banana pudding was the perfect ending. We will definitely make this a regular brunch spot and are excited to try dinner.

• 21/2/26Tenders are always amazing. Portions on Mac and cheese, daily pickle, and deviled eggs were smaller than previous orders but those tenders will keep us coming back every time. Mac and cheese could use a bit more seasoning.
Daily pickle was curried cabbage and was stunningly good.

• 17/5/26Holy hell! I have never seen tenders this big in my life! They were massive and absolutely incredible. The Champagne Tenders were battered to the brim and fried to perfection. The Sweet Potato Dumplings tasted like a sweet potato gnocchi dish to me which I loved! super flavorful and melt in your mouth. Tater Tots were fine. The ranch was really good, had a dill taste to it. Honey mustard was definitely a dijon honey mustard (had those little seeds in it) Overall, would order again!

• 18/3/26In the shadowed alleys of NoDa, where the night cloaks lesser establishments in mediocrity, Haberdish stands as a beacon of Southern defiance against the ordinary. I ordered through the shadows of DoorDash—because even the Dark Knight must eat—and what arrived was no mere meal. It was vengeance served hot.
The seared scallops? Golden-crusted sentinels swimming in a creamy sauce laced with pecans and herbs, like Gotham’s elite gone rogue in a backwoods conspiracy. Tender, perfectly caramelized, with that subtle oceanic whisper cutting through the richness. Flawless. If the League of Shadows had a seafood division, this would be their signature move.
Then the fried chicken—crispy armor plating that would make the Batmobile jealous. Juicy beneath, no soggy betrayal here. The seasoning hits like a well-placed batarang: bold, unapologetic, Carolina-proud. Paired with those legendary honey butter biscuits? Pure sin. Flaky, golden, dripping with that sweet golden glow—like Alfred spiked them with Kryptonite for flavor. One bite and I almost forgave the Joker.
The tater tots (or whatever those glorious fried potato torpedoes were) arrived crunchy, addictive, scattered like tiny explosive devices across the plate. And the grilled chicken? Smoky, pepper-crusted, holding its own amid the fried chaos—like a brooding sidekick who refuses to be outshined.
Packaging held up under the Gotham rain of delivery traffic—no leaks, no collapses. Portions big enough to save the night. Arrived hot, timely, as if the driver knew the importance of thermal efficiency in a city that never sleeps.
Haberdish isn’t just food. It’s a declaration: Southern soul doesn’t compromise. In a world of fast-food villains and flavorless pretenders, this place is the hero we deserve.
5 stars.
The night is young, and so is my next order.
— A shadow in Charlotte who approves. 🦇

• 19/1/25Banana Pudding was delicious!! The Brown Butter Pound Cake was simply amazing. Devine flavor composition. Best served warm. A little pricey but well worth it.
