Hunan Lion has been our favorite Chinese restaurant in Austin for DECADES. The quality of the food has been consistently excellent, always freshly prepared and amazingly delicious. Our meal today consisted of 2 orders of Shrimp with Mixed Veggies, one with brown rice and the other with plain lo mein, and 2 veggie egg rolls - all of it fabulous as always. And the staff are always lovely to interact with. Looking forward to our next visit! Highly recommend.

It's always so good! They always follow the instructions we give and it's always ready fast, and made well. Thank you Hunan for being a spot we can trust EVERYTIME! Yum. Love the Kung Pao, egg rolls & egg drop soup.

Kung Pao Chicken - 8/10 - def spicy so be aware of that when ordering. I wish I'd ordered something less spicy.
6 Pieces Crab Puff - 8/10 - not bad. They did came with sweet and sour sauce.
Fried rice - 8/10 - could've had a lil more egg but it's tasty.
I ordered just for myself so I felt the portion size was perfect.

the rice was good😭🔥💯 its exactly what I had in mind when I wanted fried rice. I've been disappointed with portion sizes/ quality of food in other restaurants, but this place has been the best so far in my quest to finding some good fried rice in Austin TX. would STRONGLY recommend to anyone. also good pricing.

Everything ordered came fresh & tasty,Chicken Fried Rice entree normally does not have much green-onions so I added extra green onions Hot & Sour Soup (small order)one of the best I've tasted.Prices are somewhat reasonable compared to other Chinese restaurants in Austin but economy IS rising,this was my payday "reward" : ) Sweet & Sour Sauce (chicken) was good,not greasy, Chicken with Snow Peas also good
