This has become my go-to Filipino food spot. They just re-opened after a year of renovations, and I couldn't be happier. Max's Restaurant has a lot of great options. I went with a more simple order, for a quick lunch this time. I tried the Lechon Kawali (Pork Belly) for the first time, and their Mango Juice. The tenderness and flavor of the Pork Lechon Kawali (Pork Belly) was great. Not chewy at all; with a nice crispy fried exterior. It came with this liver sauce, that had a nice tangy savory flavor. So don't get discouraged that its called liver sauce. No traces of actual liver flavor haha. The Mango Juice tasted like fresh mangos were squeezed; to give you that refreshing beverage that pairs great with any item on the menu. Next time, I wanna try their Crispy Pata, as that looks amazing. Glad to have them back in business. The prices are worth the quality and portions you receive. Highly Recommended.

Everything seemed fresh. Good but on the salty side. Portions are small all around. $31 for the Bulalo (Beef Shank Broth) for a small portion was disappointing. The Filipino Bistek was a little tough. Would order again only if I was craving.

The panset came cold, usually it's hot and fresh, and the portion is very small, not worth 17 dollars

They didn't seal the bag and my Garlic Fried Rice was missing from the order. The Lumpiang Shanghai was very good though.
