• 23/12/24I have consumed way too many falafels to count. My favorite places are sadly all in Boston and I make sure I eat as many as possible every time I visit. I live in Central Maine now and of the 3 places I have tried, only one is decent. That's the back story. I was in Portland for a show and decided to see if a decent Falafel Sandwich could be found. I took one look and knew I did. It was very nicely toasted and so delicious! I'm not sure if I chewed - thats how fast I consumed it. Thats also why I dont have a picture.
The Lentil Soup was perfect for a chilly day. I wish I ordered a bigger size. This is not the lentil soup one often thinks of. This is smooth, creamy, perfectly spiced goodness. This is the soup I want instead of chicken noodle soup the next time I feel sick!
The French Fries were so tasty and crispy, no over salted and a very generous portion.
The prices? Unbelievably inexpensive for the quality and amount. I can't wait to be in Portland again so I can eat what is probably one of the best Falafel Sandwiches I've ever had.

• 7/12/24Gyro Tres Leches Cake French Fries Delivered in every way, every bite scrumptious, it was fast, warm, the fries are a great amount for the price. Mazzat hands down for the quality and the price has never let me down.

• 5/7/25Best falafel I have ever had. I was impressed with the larger portions, they even added an extra order of fries. Everything in this meal was delicious. I could tell everything is home made. I will definitely order this again. Prices are reasonable. I am very impressed overall with the food quality, portion size and price. Highly recommend!!

• 5/2/26Tres Leches Cake was delicious, one of the best in town. I get it every time I order from Mazzat.
The Fingers were decent.
The Chicken Shawarma Salad was not good. Very dry chicken, and not much flavor from seasoning. The onions were the dominant flavor. This salad needs dressing, I had to smother it in ranch to save it.
Chicken Shawarma wrap was also dry and underwhelming.

• 29/1/25Best Chicken Shawarma in Maine. Not dry, packed with chicken and veggies. The French Fries are well seasoned, and the Tzatziki Sauce accommodates it well. Highly recommend if you're looking for great quality mediterranean food.
