I recently ordered General Tso's Chicken from Peter Chang's via DoorDash, and I couldn't be more satisfied. The packaging was impressively secure and airtight, ensuring the food arrived hot and fresh without any spills. The chicken was incredibly tender, each piece perfectly cooked and juicy. The default spice level is mild, making it accessible to all palates, but you can easily add more heat if you prefer it spicier. Overall, the dish was absolutely delicious, with a perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors.
I also tried the Shanghai spring rolls, which had a very nice fresh ginger profile. The ginger added a delightful zing that complemented the crispy exterior and savory filling perfectly. Highly recommend!

Ordered Jasmine rice, received regular. Dumplings had no flavor. Did you run out of ginger or scallions?
Extremely small portion for the $$$! 7 pieces of beef, loads of onions, yahoo but hardly enough for sharing. The sauce was very good.

Delivery was quick and everything in the food order was correct. The kung pao chicken was delicious and not spicy as requested. The combination lo mein was a huge portion and tasted great.

the hot and 酸辣鸭肉羹 Hot & Sour Soup w. Shredded Duck 🌶 was a little different some people may like it. I wasn't really a fan. the 宫爆鸡丁 Spicy Kung Pao Chicken w. Peanut was good but the portion was pretty small. However, it was only $10 so you get what you pay for. the jasmyn JASMINE WHITE RICE was good not over or under cooked. Just perfect.

I ordered the Chili oil Beef Tenderloin with Tofu & Chongqing Dry Spicy Red Pepper Chicken - and I honestly have no words—it’s the worst I’ve ever had. Completely flavorless, like it was cooked in plain water. The beef slices were tiny and thin, and the dish had absolutely no seasoning or depth. The chicken was soaked and soggy—not crispy at all—and had no flavor. It was completely bland, not even lightly salted, and lacked the signature peppercorn flavor that this dish is known for. These don’t taste like traditional dishes at all—I’m not even sure what I was served.
I used to go to Peter Chang’s restaurant in Rockville, and the food was always flavorful and memorable. This was a completely different experience—very disappointing. Sadly, I couldn’t eat much because the food was completely tasteless. I’m sorry if this sounds harsh, but I’m just being honest. I really hope the quality improves, because this was not what I expected from a place with such a good reputation. I’m giving it 1 star only because the delivery was fast!
