Holy hell this place is next level delicious. All of it. Seriously. The carnitas bowl is my go to, and although puesto is on the more expensive side- it's phenomenal every single time. It's fresh, tasty and uniquely delicious. It's one of those places that are so disturbingly good, that even if you were like me and stick to what you know you'd still be 100% stoked to sub your go -to out for something completely new. That kind of good. Worth every dollar and excellent every bite.

I've been to the Puesto in LA(Anaheim), and I came into San Diego thinking it was going to be the same quality and same quantity of food, but I was unfortunately let down. The burritos were so tiny, and the salsas were very liquidy. Fortunately, the tacos were good, but I would not order from here again.

We were surprised that delivery items arrived leaking through 2 of the 3 packages - both Chicken Al Pastor Bowl and Carnitas Taco leaked A LOT! Through the containers and the bag! A mess. Only 1 place setting was provided for 3 meals. And the food was not hot (OK, since we realize it's sat PM + probably busy at restaurant) but the quality suffered tonight too. Chicken Al Pastor Bowl tasted burnt. We don't know if it was the black beans or chicken but could see multiple pieces of shredded chicken overcooked. We requested the crema on the side of the corn dish, Esquite. The label shows our request but food was covered in the crema which made corn soft.
We've received other meals delivery from Puesto and also eaten in this restaurant many times, with great flavor and fresh ingredients, also packaging was better before. In the past, chips and salsa used to come with orders but not so now. For the high price, we were not pleased tonight. Unfortunately. Definitely will not order the Chicken Al Pastor Bowl for delivery again.

We ordered the Chicken Flautas and the Passionfruit Shrimp Ceviche. The flautas were very good and the guacamole and chips were excellent. The Passionfruit Shrimp Ceviche was not. The shrimp was overdone (a bit chewy-did not seem to be real ceviche) and the chili garlic sauce was so soy/salt heavy it overpowered everything. The portion was very small, especially given the price. I would not recommend this dish.

It was the best! Light, crispy and fresh! Delicious! The rice light and fluffy and the beans equally authentic and delicious. This was perfectly done. Will definitely do it again.
