Wish I had ordered from here sooner! Dayton Oh breakfast scene is difficult, Red Carpet Tavern & Grill a solution. Im not sure how to classify the food, its not greasy spoon, perhaps quality diner food but cooked by a chef? Please see my photos. I ordered Side of Shrimp & Grits for the first time in my life, so my perspective is limited but the veggies tasted like bacon, not overwhelming, love the soft creamy comfort of the Side of Shrimp & Grits. The Steak & Eggs were cooked perfect, the toast was gigantic. The steak was peppery and juicy, the fried potatoes were crisp, soft and not greasy. The Side of Gravy was smooth, mildly peppery, few pieces of sausage in it, not sagey, not floury. It paired well with my remaining grits and potatoes. The Mini Pancakes I expected silver dollar pancakes but giant pancakes arrived w/three nice pieces of bacon. My kids are used to McDonalds or water mix pancakes, these were heavier, they ate every bit and I snuck a few bites too 😋

The Omelette was huge with all of my toppings. Great for the price. The 1/2 Biscuits & Gravy was okay, a bit much on the salt. Not the best and only comes with one biscuit for a large cup of gravy. The omelette came with toast so I used some of that with the gravy as well.

Second time I've ordered the pancakes. Bacon thick and cooked just right. Big blueberries in the pancakes. Still somewhat hot and fluffy when delivered. Came with melted butter and maple syrup. It was very delicious. Large portion, couldn't finish it. Yes, I'd order again.

Red Carpet Tavern never disappoints. The portions are BIG, the food is fresh and tasty (even after a 20-minute car ride!) Definitely on my list as a "go-to" for breakfast! ps- get the western omelet, you won't be disappointed

Food was well seasoned and tasty, especially the corned beef hash. Gravy is a more peppery gravy but was good. Every item had good if not excessive portion sizes.
Sourdough was a little hard and dry for my liking however so I'll try white toast next time
