I decided to try Sahara after seeing a local post about how the owner treated a homeless man with such kindness and generosity. The owner asked if he was hungry and made him a plate instead of "kicking him out" of the restaurant - that kind of compassion deserves support.
I’m so glad I gave this place a try! The food was absolutely amazing – flavorful, large portions, and a great price point. It also arrived super fast. I added more items to the order last minute (with 6 minutes left), but it was too late, so I ended up with two dashers for one order – still, everything arrived perfectly.
This might just become my go-to DoorDash spot when I’m working downtown. Highly recommend giving them a try!

The dolmas was AMAZING,perfectly cooked and very good and fresh. A bit bigger than normal dolmas I'm used to, so worked very well as a snack. The chicken tika kabob wrap was also amazing, very flavorful and the pita was toasted very nicely. Definitely will be ordering again!

The Jordan Imported Baklava was delicious and fresh, and had enough pieces to share with my fiancé.
The Chicken Shawarmah Sandwich was just as amazing as it always is. It's my go-to order here.
It was also my first time trying the Jallab as I usually order Turkish Coffee, and wow it is so so good. I love supporting Sahara, and I will continue to do so.

The Shawarma sandwich was off the rails delicious. Excellent flavor and value. I could’ve gone with half as many pickles, and it would be perfect. The hummus was also very delicious and the pitas were on point. The jallab and baklava really sold me on the quality of this place. I would come back to Albuquerque just to eat here again.

I have gotten take out from Sahara several times as they are right round the corner from my place. I gotta say, they are the kindest, most hard working folks. The food tastes absolutely amazing ive tried several of their dishes, but my favorite are the dolmas, baba gannoush and Sahara Entrée Plate. I prefer the chicken shawarma, but all the meats are delish. Thank you for being a kind, familiar, delicious place for me to go and not spend too much money. You're appreciated!
