Hands down, best plate lunches in Lafayette by far.
I'm not even joking - I order from here 3-5 times a week. I'm addicted. And if they put the meatball stew on the Everyday Menu, check me into rehab.
Taste - like mama's home cooking.
Portion - if you can eat a whole plate lunch in one sitting, be ready to take a nap. Or a walk. Probably need both, but I'm not a doctor.
Freshness - fresher than a OutKast lyric.
Would order again? - I would order twice a day every day if I didn't have to pay the bills.
Specific items - I already said the meatball stew but all of the plate lunches are fantastic. For me sometimes they're plate lunches and plate dinners.

I ordered the Boiled Crawfish 3lb special spicy with an extra corn. It was awesome. The crawfish was fresh, boiled well, medium to large size, and seasoned well. The price was reasonable and worth it.

We ordered the bake chicken with Mac& cheese with corn also a red beans potato salad and cabbage and turkey necks. Everything was delicious and flavorful not spicy nor underseasoned it was perfect. The only thing wrong was they forgot one my delicious turkey necks. But I did call and we worked thing out. Food was hot and on time. Thanks for our delicious Dinner . We started eating because it was smelling so good forgot to take picktures. 1000/10

I love all their food but the BBQ Chicken plate is fantastic. Its tender, juicy, and the sauce is tangy. I love the rice dressing it comes with. Its a whole chicken leg so the portion is large. You can tell its fresh everytime and not just sitting under heat lamps. Great food for a great price.

Everything was absolutely perfect!! Red beans and rice seasoned like grandma used to make, corn bread just sweet enough without being too sweet, cabbage cooked just right. Everything was hot and fresh!!!!!
