(IMHO, Submarina should be called Above-marina!) Their subs were always "good", but the "East Coast" and "Cali" subs from THIS shop were the best subs I can remember having from ANY sub sandwich place in SD! We got the 9" size, but I could only eat 1/4 of the huge, delicious "Cali" - packed with meat, cheese, crisp bacon, veggies and ripe avocado on a wonderful, fresh-baked cheesy jalapeno bread, this sub is a steal not to be missed by local sandwich lovers! (Ditto the "East Coast" sub with its own generous fillings and bread!). Ordering was a breeze, Dasher

I looove their potato salad even though it's expensive for the small amount you get. Their sandwiches are good but they are really, really stingy on the meat/tuna/etc., which is why I generally order my sandwiches from Sidny's and just get the potato salad here.

Out of all the sandwich shops, this one's the best hands-down!! They are consistent and even though the raising their prices like everyone is, it's very good!

The Meatball sub was not good one of the meatballs were hard and not edible it seemed like the sandwich was old and just put in a microwave also they used the wrong bread

This is the first location that actually reads and follows the special request box which means a lot for someone who has certain preferences and allergies. Submarina has always been my favorite sandwich spot and now I am still able to get my sandwich the way I prefer without going to the store.
