The #18 Bun Rieu was delicious! it has more ingredients than Bun Rieu from other restaurants I've had. I love Bun Rieu! I got extra vegetables, shrimp, tofu slices and slices of pork. Totally satisfying.

Bun cha gio thit nuong on point with generous portion, do chua could be more chua ngot and would ask for extra nuoc cham sauce as one container not scent. The goi cuon spring rolls were kind of a combination of a nem nuong style with the crispy wonton wrapper but with shrimp and they used gio lua in place of steamed pork. Tuong dipping sauce could use some tuong! Portion generous and a good value for an appetizer. They are always fast when I order for pickup and the girl at the front always pleasant with a smile which is the best kind of customer service. Cha Thai solid. Tanglad is not Chateau Brodard but a solid Viet resto in the food desert that is the Castro. Their pho is also good and I get the bun rieu regularly request there is add some more tofu puffs and wish the rieu had more rieu, bun rieu cua oc (crab and freshwater snail) would probably be too advanced for Castro but one can dream of a special, xin lam on, nhe? I'll keep coming regardless.

I ate here for lunch today. The staff was fabulous! Super friendly! Generous portions.
The papaya salad was wonderfully fresh! They were accommodating of my request for the shrimp on the side and no cilantro (I don't think it has cilantro but I always request none to be sure).

Very flavorful broth and good portion of meat for their soups. They package the food very well and I always appreciate they follow instructions whenever I put a note on there.

Definitely recommend this spot! Perfectly balanced bahn mi w juicy meat, good topping ratio, and soft baguette w a little crunch. Their #3 Grilled Pork Sandwich is so tasty I typically order 2 so I have an extra in the fridge for my next meal lol. They always hit!
