• 27/12/23Best jerk chicken in NY!!! Can't find any better options. Delicously seasoned, falls right off the bone. The rice and salad comple it well. The homeade lemonada goes with it perfectly as well! Could not reccomend enough!

• 17/12/25I promise you, you won't get Stew Chicken better anywhere else in the city. I've tried everywhere and no one even comes close. The rice and peas are also delicious never stale or old tasting. The cabbage and veggies are always nice and soft. If you get a large it's enough food for two dinners or two lunches. I'm in love with this place, I cannot believe they're finally on doordash and deliver to me being that I live 4-5 miles away, i'm ecstatic. I'll be ordering from here monthly! And probably again next week lol. It's that good. I also never write reviews so that should tell you how I really feel.

• 28/8/25This was my first time ordering from The Islands and I had a wonderful experience. They ran out of Oxtail (Large) and they did not hesitate to call to see what other items I would want as a substitute. I opted for the jerk lamb. It wasn't on my radar but I was so glad I experienced it. The Jerk Chicken was very tender with the perfect amount of spice and a large portion. They even included a side of Mac and cheese to balance out not having the oxtail. The food was very fresh and hot. I'd order again.

• 12/12/24The Jerk Chicken was melting off the bone, but there seemed to be a lot of fat in everything and the steamed veg ( mostly cabbage) was super salty. Portions were very generous.

• 3/1/26Oxtail was tough and hard. My wife said it tasted like it was old. At 38 dollars for oxtail this was not expected. The Mac and Cheese was burnt and the portion was small for the price.
