My boyfriend gets the French Onion Soup every time so I gave it a try! It's amazing although the cheese seemed to ball up instead of melting. The Whale Nachos are amazing, pretty loaded even without the extra add ons! And the Roasted Potato & Leek Soup my year old daughter and I thought it was so yummy! Our first time trying leak!

We have been ordering takeout from here for several years now, and occasionally dine in. The staff is always so friendly & genuine, whether we're grabbing our food quick or sitting for a while enjoying a drink and some food. 
We honestly have loved everything we've tried on the menu--the pear and goat cheese salad is so good, we love the antojitos, the nachos, and the spinach dip for apps, the buffalo chicken wrap is delicious every time, the chicken tenders are breaded in-house, and we're of course always a fan of their fish and chips. Just about to place an order now, cause now I'm hungry!

Ordered the Shepherd's Pie and Roasted Potato & Leek Soup. Both arrived hot and very well packaged. Both were also absolutely delicious. Whale & Ale never disappoints!!

The fish was lovely!!! We love they dont hide the fish under 10" of batter to make the fish look bigger.   Tartar sauce is top notch too.

I ordered the schnitzel parm and it was unacceptable. The schnitzel was leathery and dried out, the edges were rock hard like it had been under a heat lamp for hours and it was a much smaller portion than other times. The pasta serving was super skimpy, less than half of what it normally is. The pasta usually covers the entire bottom of the take-out container and this time it wasn't even half that.. they put in an extra piece of garlic bread to fill up the space. I couldn't believe it when I picked up the garlic bread and my food didn't even take up half the container. It's a $22 entree, expensive for schnitzel but I usually get two meals out of. I was still hungry after eating the whole thing, well not quite the whole thing since a good part of the schnitzel was too tough to cut through let alone chew. I'm guessing the cook won't be surprised to hear there was a complaint, I doubt they would have dared try  serving that mess to a dining in patron.
