• 5/16/25The food was great as always but the order wasn't correct in a small issue. The carnitas are the best anywhere. Beautiful simplicity and perfect home made corn tortillas. I've, been going there for that dish for many years. In fact, the first time was just after NOPA set Nopalito up. The kitchen chefs were so knocked out by the authentic Mexican dinners that were being cooked for the early staff dinners led to the idea that the cooks should get their own restaurant. A very wise decision.

• 2 days agonopalito is tasty, but absurdly over priced. $8 for what looks like an 8oz bottle of horchata, basically two swallows. $35 for carnitas that don't even come with rice and beans. maybe it's worth it if you're dining in person, but if you're dashing it just go and order from something in the mission

• 11/11/25Gorditas de Gorditas de Picadillo,tasty and well presented. I've hadthem a few times, always fresh and high quality. Love the thickand unique Side Chips. The Whole Beans are very good too. Nopalito is high end quality Mexican food. A Def destination. Will do it again and again..

• 3/16/26They have the absolute BEST carnitas meat in SF (and LA for that matter)! I've always made it a point to try and find the best carnitas @ numerous Mexican restaurants anywhere I've lived. I used to think Lares restaurant in Los Angeles was the holy grail.... until I found nopalito! After trying almost 21 Mexican restaurants both in person and/or on DoorDash, I give the carnitas (and their version of Mexican rice) 10/10

• 9/24/24The soup was diapp . As it was a great deal of broth, a fewpie of meat and negligab amountsof hominy, which is kindof tje pointof pozo . Looked like stuff was just ladle out of a large pot, so you go what y got. The condiments, cabbage etc, were a l wilted. All in all not a go value for the cost.
