"We have dinner here almost every week on our way to Bar 1642 to hear ragtime music. The menu is huge and everything tastes home cooked. Crazy variety! The best onion rings, salads, burgers, lasagna and enchiladas! Lamb shanks and sirloin tips! I love their liver & onions, my friend gets their blintzes! The staff is welcoming and eager to please. French Fried Zucchini was nice and soft but just the perfect level of crispyness I like. French Fried Zucchini wasn't overly seasoned which was perfect when combined with the ranch. Milk Shake was chocolatey and delicious and not too sweet. I really enjoyed it. Especially during the hot weather we're currently experiencing. The sauce was SUPER garlicky & oily (I kinda wonder if I actually got the Stinkin' Special or they accidentally sent the Garlic Sauce instead??). I ordered the chicken Chicken Parmesan with cheese bread (quite a challenge since every element is not typically without wheat), and minestrone soup. I expected simply gluten-free pasta, but every single item I received was marked "gluten free" on their packaging, even the crostini slices meant for dipping in the minestrone. The Parmigiana Chicken is what my daughter's boyfriend gets all the time. He doesn't care for their mashed potatoes or the broccoli and zuchini. It's really bland and I agree. I think you can substitute for pasta but thats if you dine in.
They have really great specials that vary too. One time they had freshly caught Branzino fish and it was to die for!! Perfect filet with skin on and sautéed to perfection. So perfect and deliste no fishiness and skin was edible and crispy. Dessert is a must...any of them! "
