"This was my first time trying Smalls, and to be honest, I figured it would just be "another basic burger joint". Instead, I was pleasantly surprised. Their fries arrived still hot and crispy - even after traveling across town. And the portion was very generous. I'd equate it to a large waffle fries from a certain chicken sandwich place... They had good flavor and were tasty on their own. Their queso has a very, very subtle kick to it that worked well with the fries also.
Now, for the featured item: the burgers. I ordered a pair of the regular burgers and one of the bbq bacon jalapeño burgers (no bbq for me). And I was impressed - the jalapeños were flavorful without being too spicy, so you actually got the flavor of the pepper as well as a little kick - more than the queso but still very mild. The burger patty itself was moist and flavorful. The bacon was actually a good chewy bite instead of soggy or crumbly. The bun was soft and buttery. You actually get a really good balance of flavors in each bite. I think what I like most though is that it was just enough for a small appetite like mine. Overall impression? I will definitely order again. Their prices are reasonable, the food is actually good and not just passable. And the service is quick. And bonus - they actually look at the order and get the details right - something far too many places manage to flub up."

"Would be nice if they didn't put the butter pats in loose with hot foods. My pats of butter were totally melted and leaked all over the bottom of the bag. Otherwise, the pasta was cooked right, the sauce was decent. The meatballs were tasty. Just wish Inhad the option of asking for the sauce on the side. The chicken soup was nice and hot. They put in equal amounts of chicken and noodles this time with plenty of broth as well. The rice crispy treat and cookie were both huge and tasty."
