"I'm a vegan and, through a comedy of errors, ended up stranded in Anaheim after a day at a NAMM show - and in a hotel room overnight. It was 9:30 P when I checked in and I was desperate for some good food. I was dismayed that every place I found on-line closed at 9 PM. Then I found Shawarma House. I had the Falafel Plate delivered. "I have ordered the chicken shawarma sandwich and the beef shawarma sandwich, both on pita. Both were INCREDIBLE (chicken was my favorite)!! Super flavorful, lots of meat + other fillings but still well balanced, and the portions are fantastic. You definitely get your money's worth. I think about that chicken sandwich all the time, it was so damn good. And such a good price for what you get. I also recommend getting the side order of fries and a drink, as it's cheaper than getting the fries by itself + the portion of fries is pretty big. The sauces on the side were also so delicious (that garlic sauce is SO garlicky and yummy, + the tzatziki and chili sauce are also bomb. The tahini was good but not as flavorful as the other sauces. I don't wanna give them any ideas but I can't believe they let you get them for free, all 3 of them!!! tzatziki is an extra dollar but I think it's worth it). I crave this place ALL THE TIME. "Saffron Mediterranean Grill is hands down some of the best Mediterranean food I’ve ever had and I’ve had plenty! We tried the lamb and chicken kabobs, and they were absolutely out of this world. The proteins were cooked to perfection- juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. The rice was fluffy and seasoned beautifully, and the salad was topped with rich spices that created a flavor explosion in every bite. And the hummus? Simply amazing! Creamy, smooth, and perfectly balanced.
This was easily one of the best meals I’ve had in Long Beach. On top of the incredible food, it’s family-owned, which makes supporting them even more meaningful. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and try it- you will not be disappointed!"

"The Sutlac (Rice Pudding) was extremely tasty with a burnt sugar flavor on top of a creamy sweet rice pudding. It reminded me of Creme brûlée, flan, and rice pudding combined. The cheese Sigara Borek was perfectly light and crispy. Chicken Döner Wrap had so much flavor and great topping options. They give hefty portions , and a great tip is to ask for "everything on it", all the toppings, all the sauces. You will get so much volume (for free). This is the number 1 spot for Mediterranean adjacent and HEALTHY food. It does not disappoint, and I have yet to find a better place. "

Tasty shrimp, lamb chops and filet, basmati rice with a small amount of some sort of stewed tomato and onion combo on top (which I would love to have a bowl of just on it's own). "Never thought I would leave Open Sesame a bad review but I have to in this case. We ordered Tabouleh Salad, Baba Ghannouj, Kibbi, Hummus and Chicken Tawook 8 pc.
Everything tasted good but this was the most expensive Mediterranean restaurant we've ordered food from and it had the smallest portions. Kibbi was small compared to other places. The hummus could not have been more than 6 oz and same goes for the Tabouleh (with pita bread it was $21.55).
They also forgot to give us the Baba Ghannouj.
Won't be ordering DD from them anymore, unfortunately. Our local place is just as good (with the exception of the hummus) with larger portions and a little bit cheaper.

I am Iranian and I do not recommend the fesenjan. It's tart, a little watery. Tadig was covered in sesame seeds and was not fond of that. Go to restaurant that focuses on only Persian food if you are looking to have any dish that isn't kabob."
