Sylvia's Jamaican restaurant really does have the best Oxtail ever! The meat is cooked to perfection and is melt-in-the-mouth. The flavour of the gravy is out of this world and the rice and peas are perfect every time! Actually the best rice and peas weve ever had. Sylvia's keeps their prices very competitive which is what keeps my wife and I going back.

The best Jamaican food in the area. Great pricing, and always fresh. I work a job where I hardly have a chance to leave the office, and my food is always delivered hot and with everything I ask for plus more. Today, I got plantains added to my order that i did not pay for. Such a nice surprise and they were delicious. Sylvias is the spot!!

Sylvia's is by far my favorite Jamaican restaurant! The people are super nice & friendly.
The food is great! Curry chicken is my go to and it's well seasoned but not too spicy. I always get plantains and cornbread with my meal and it NEVER disappoints.
I've tried a lot ofJamaican restaurants in Poughkeepsie and locally, and have to say that nothing compares!
10/10 every time! :)

very disappointed with the fried chicken. The chicken was fried and then chopped into chunks and placed on top of rice and cabbage. The chicken was chewy instead of crisp. Fried Chicken Meal I ordered a large meal and got a container full of rice after spending extra money.

Other than the order not having a Tamper Proof seal
On it, everything was packaged well. The food was fresh and tasty. I would recommend to anyone who likes oxtails. The beef patty and coco bread in its authentic form, made from scartch and baked really well. Thank you!
