I ordered the 4 enchilada Chile relleño plate and was surprised it only came with one chicken enchilada and a side plate of the (only the) proteins for the other three enchiladas. The chile relleño is nice and large. No shortage of cheese inside and on top. Nice cheese stretches. It has a nice simple comforting taste from the egg batter. It's a tasty dish! Also not spicy as I was expecting. I do like spice but not too much that I can't figure out or enjoy the taste of the food which has certainly happened before at another restaurant I tried chile relleño at. I am still confused about why I didn't receive four fully constructed enchiladas but the chile relleño is tasty so I would consider ordering this again, this feels like a nice comfort food.
(I didn't take a picture of the rice n beans it came with because it's standard but it did come with the meal.)
The quesabirria taco was filled with ample meat which I appreciated and was topped well too. Delicious. Don't expect it to come with consommé, order the Plato if you want that. I ordered this taco by itself just to see if it was the same.
Thank you Mazatlan! I don't know what changes youve been making but I appreciate them, orders are more consistent these days and I'm happily reordering time and time again because it's delicious.

Already loved Mazatlan but usually always got the quesabirria platter, and now have never stopped ordering the deluxe burrito since the first day I tried it (three days ago. This is my third burrito and it hits every time. It doesn't taste the EXACT same every time but not in a way that inconsistency means a major lack of flavor, ingredients, or anything like that. Always good size that fills up the plate, always delicious stewed meat inside (I always get the Piccadillo), and the guac and verde served with it is the cherry on top. My plate is always licked clean and my tummy happy after ordering this. Only the third time did I find the sweet spot by ordering a plate of rice to go with.
Thank you Mazatlan! I also really appreciate the foil takeout plates since they help keep my food warm until it gets into my hands. Please never change to foam or anything like that. Food is delicious. Thank you!

I have been a big fan of this deluxe burrito enough to not only continue to order it multiple times through delivery even with a bit of inconsistency in flavor or specifically the salsa roja, but to choose it as the meal for a small group today for a late lunch. Everyone was very hungry for context so normally that would lift the rating a little, but even so, everyone around the table rated this meal a 5 out of 10 unfortunately. Last time I enjoyed having a warm plate of the rice to accompany the burrito, and this time I got two, but both plates were crunchy and dry in texture 90% of the way through. The flavor was fine but the texture was wrong so I don't know if the rice was old or not, but whatever the reason it was crunchy even though it was a little warm. And the salsa roja which is a big star of this burrito has been consistently tasting more and more like just tomato and not salsa. I've had it enough times to know what it should taste like when it's good, and when it's a little lacking either in flavor or texture, but theres times when it just tastes like tomato juice as another review also stated.
I might order again one more time just because I hope for redemption, the first time I had this burrito was really good, and the rice was enough for me too, but this run was very disappointing.
On the bright side, I appreciate that the food comes warm and in reasonable time, and that the packaging is consistent.
