Every time I come to Durham to dog sit I order the beet salad with steak. It NEVER fails. Best salad I've ever had. The steak is always cooked to perfection and the vinaigrette dressing is lovely! I wish we had "The Federal" in Wilmington!!!!

I tried this place for the first time and it was great! The Doner Kebab was tender and flavorful! It was also a generous portion of food especially the fries. The potato salad was a little too salty for my liking but I loved the big chunks of egg! Everything tasted fresh and homemade with love! Overall rating, I'd say 8/10 would order again!

Second time ordering from here and I Iove it! They have the best sandwiches in Durham!! Every portion is fair for the price and I'm always satisfied. The flavors and freshness of the ingredients is amazing!! 10/10

The beet salad never fails!!! It is the BEST salad I've EVER had. The steak is always cooked to perfection and the vinaigrette dressing is superb! I happily come to Durham to dog sit because of you guys, The Federal! We need one in Wilmington!! Order this salad, you won't be disappointed!!

Prime Rib Sandwich with the Gruyère cheese and Au Jus was SO fresh, juicy, and flavorful - even for late-night delivery!
Poutine was a pretty good side with garlic/parsley fries and gooey, melted cheese curds. The mushroom gravy was the part that didn't "wow" me. Didn't taste bad - but was just missing something to give the flavor an extra "oomph".
