I've been enjoying El Zocalo for 40 years. Even though the pandemic changed thier menu, they still have the best papusas I have had. They seem to be using the same original recipes, and I also enjoy their enchiladas. They are known for taking their time cooking, and I taste the difference, well worth the wait!

Used to get the #38 religiously. Now I notice they've changed the recipe of the rice (used to be well seasoned yellow rice now it tastes over spiced and under salted). They also changed packaging and the beans come in a small plastic sauce cup so you get half the amount from before. The flavors of the pupusas sent were incorrect. Unclear what happened with this place but it has changed. No longer recommend.

We primarily eat vegetarian options - the Pupusas are fantastic esp Loroco Pupusas, Revuelta Original Pupusas, and Queso & Frijoles Pupusas
The cabbage slaw and salsa toppings are perfect

This is soup they put this huge chicken white meat 2 big potatoes no corn and that took the whole container this is cheating

Pupusas are great but it doesnt come with the salsas and curtido that comes with it everywhere else unless you pay extra...
