• 23-11-01Honestly I think "Rebekah R". must have been looking for something else and not Real Good Food!! Guessing she was looking for bland, tasteless and ordinary food that was really spicy hot.
If that is what you are looking for then Bien Me Sabe Bistró is not for you. There you will find food so delicious, full of flavor. The combination of spices I perfectly balance to give you the opportunity to savor and have you guessing what is making this bite so delicious. In Bien Me Sabe their "mass"(dough) in their empanadas and pastelitos is made very likely with "Harina Pan" which is the Corn Meal use in Venezuela. Please don't try to compare it to "Maseca" use in many Central American countries as well as in Mexico. Very different in flavor and texture. to that you add that they give their own special touch with I am guessing sugar or honey and that is the slight sweet taste that in my opinion sets them apart.
I got to be honest, I have many Venezuelan friends and I'm guessing they are not very skilled in the culinary arts, and I took my wife there on her request, as she follows "Marian" a Venezuelan Lady who lives in Jordania, and publish many Venezuelan dishes as well as Arabic cuisine.
But because of my previous experience with my friends was looking for an unpleasant flavored food. Man I was happily disappointed.
The Carne Despechada (Shredded Beef) is amazing! Their Carne Asada full of flavor and very balance, the pernil (pulled pork) to die for 4!! I have not tried the chicken but my wife and daughters loved it. I even tried pork chops on their Picada, or Parrillada and they are delicious as well. The chorizo is good but I'm guessing is bought already from a supplier. My wife and daughter in Law love their shrimp as well.
All this you can have them in Patacones ( fried, Smashed and then fried again green plantains), arepas made of corn meal, and many other varieties that they offered.
If you like the Hamburger "Mexican Style" then you have to try their "Teque Burguer" but I'm warning you, this is not for the faint of heart. I has the Burguer patty, ham, (I don't remember if it had chicken as well) the regular fixings. Now here is the kick, the buns are made of Venezuelan bread filled with fresh cheese 😱. That is called Tequeño and they have them in there appetizer menu. this are delicious by themselves, now you too your Burguer with those and is a burger with a league of it's own.
Go there and experience "Comida Venezolana " Now remember is not "Mexican Food" so if you are looking just to burnout your pallets then this is not your a place for you. There is One Million places in El Paso, TX you can go and experience average or below average food. If you want really good and delicious food go to Bien Me Sabe Bistró or you can order here in Door dash.
And did I said that the Owners are your waiter and waitress too. Oh and that they cook as well. They have a few wonderful ladies that cook as well but the owners will take care of you personally. Get you happy 😊 behind to Mesa Street and enjoy this little cozy place.

• 23-07-20I ordered 6 different empanadas. I'm not sure if I've eaten them before, so I wanted to try a variety. They were all delicious! The dough was a little sweet and crispy on the outside. The service was very quick. The price is great. I will definitely eat here again.

• 24-02-04They were out of shredded beef, so we ended up with two Pollo
Desmechado / Shredded Chickened. It was good, but way too much onion. Descriptions don't do enough to describe what you are ordering and the pictures are inaccurate. They also didn't confirm the order until the dasher had arrived, so it took forever to receive our food. Probably won't order again until descriptions and photos get more accurate.

• 23-12-01I have ordered from this place before and loved it however this last order went completely wrong. I had initially ordered 3 de Pabellon and 3 de Queso / Cheese however they were out of pabellon (not the first time this happens and I cannot understand why they dont have enough of what I think its their best food) so they decided to change it to carne molida empanadas which I dont like so I had to call them to change for something else. Requested to change to Reina pepiada arepa and was told they were out of it as well. So they offered Asado Negro which I decided to say yes to. The asado negro arepa was fine but not amazing. Yet another issue with my order. I ordered cheese empanadas and received cheese and potato empanadas which I also dont like unfortunately. They were very bland! I usually don't like potato in my empadas. This order was a complete disaster to be honest. I only loved the tequeño which I also ordered. I only gave 3 stars because I like their pabellon and cheese empadas but I would give 1 star if this was my first order with them.
