The carry out experience from here was wonderful- the food is exceptional for takeout just as it is for dining in. I've been under the weather so our date night had to be brought home. The Osso Buco was tender and delicious. My Spaghetti Meatballs were a home run as always.

The Insalata Caprese was a ridiculous waste - $15 for three slices of not quite ripe tomato, a bit of Mozzarella and almost no basil. The Ravioli Aurora was bland but the Scallopine Parmigiana was pretty good. Overall disappointing.

We have eaten at The Capri many times and order delivery a few times, but hear me out. Besides the time it takes preparing the food, my house is about 4+ miles and about 20+ minutes door to door. I ordered the direct delivery for an additional cost.
I ordered for my mom, sister and me. While mom and I waited 15 minutes for sis to arrive, mom dished out the Insalata Caprese with her and I splitting the 4th piece (sshhh, don't tell sis)! The 3 of us agree the Caprese was delicious ! The tomatoes were fresh, mozzarella was moist and each slice had a basil leaf on top! Yes, it traveled well!
We then opened the 3 Gnocchi di Patate Sorrentina next. Remember that I said the delivery took 20+ minutes after it was made, sis arrived 15 minutes after that , my sister talked at us for about 10 minutes and then we enjoyed the salad and rolls bout... let's say 10 minutes..so it was 50 minutes after delivery. Mom put out the 3 unopened containers at our places before my sis arrived. We opened them up ..... The Gnocchi was still steaming hot! I kid you not! We couldn't believe it!
The Gnocchi impressed us 3 Italians ( well mom is 100% and sis and I are 50% lol) . It was made how we like it. The gnocchi were freshly made in a light( as in not soaking) , non-spicy ( as in hot spices) tomato sauce. The reason I say non-spicy that is many other restaurants' marinara say are not made with hot spices, but we then get it and they are spicy. We don't use red pepper flakes (I think those restaurants include them) . Mom also can't eat spicy food because it has always upset her stomach. She's northern Italian and her mother didn't cook with hot spices anyway.
I highly recommend The Capri Restaurant because not only does the restaurant have excellent food in house but they prepare and package with care for delivery too.

no flavor in the Fettucine Del Fattor, and the Gnocchi di Patate Sorrentina wasn't cooked properly with a sweet marinara sauce. the Side of Potatoes taste likethey were soaked in olive oil. food is not even clone to good enough forthe price.

This is and always will be my favorite restaurant. Grilled Eggplant, Melanzane Parmigiana, Lemon Ricotta Cake, Cheesecake, Gnocchi di Patate Sorrentina - as always, most excellent.
