I rarely leave reviews, but today I felt truly compelled to share an exceptional experience. I had the pleasure of speaking with Chanel (I hope I’m spelling her name correctly), and her kindness left a lasting impression on my family and me.
I called Malai to ask whether their ice cream was prepackaged, as my daughter is currently in the hospital and can only have prepackaged items due to her doctor-prescribed limited diet. Chanel was incredibly patient and understanding. She carefully explained which ice creams were prepackaged and let me know what was currently in stock. She even stayed on the phone with me while I placed my order so she could personally accept it, ensure the correct prepackaged ice cream was selected, and pack it properly for my daughter.
Chanel went above and beyond in every possible way. She kindly offered to add an extra pint at her own expense. I politely declined, and when she spoke directly with my daughter, my daughter also said no. Chanel then mentioned that they had popsicles and asked if my daughter would like one instead. My daughter happily said yes, and Chanel added it to the order, telling her it was a gift from her and wishing her a speedy recovery.
Even then, her generosity didn’t end there. When the delivery arrived, Chanel had quietly added another pint, purchased out of her own pocket. I have never experienced such genuine compassion and care from anyone in a business setting. She did not have to do any of this, yet she chose to do so purely out of kindness for my child.
Malai Restaurant is incredibly fortunate to have someone like Chanel on their team. She is truly an extraordinary person. My daughter and I would love to meet her in person once she is out of the hospital in a few months. Chanel made our day during a very difficult time, and I cannot thank her enough.

Some of the best flavors I've ever had and the sea salt vanilla is top tier, homemade tasting. Love the ice cream cookie sandwiches.
