In general, I'm not a crouton fan, but these croutons are perfection--light, garlicky, and just perfect. The split pea and matzah ball soups are always fantastic, as well. It's expensive but worth the treat.

Pastrami's a bit small for the price. About 20% more (what you usually get for that price at the delis with $22-25 pastramis on rye) and it'd be normal

Pastrami sandwich had waaaaay too little meat to justify $27. Save yourself the trouble and get a real sandwich from katz or something- where they dont skimp out.

amazing matzo ball soup and very good pastrami. i get the 1/2 Sandwich and Soup and its perfect even for two people share. good pickles too

I have been to every Jewish deli in Manhattan. I always come back to 2nd Avenue Deli. By far my favorite.
