Sakae Sushi is one of the few places where takeout still feels high-end. The quality of the fish really holds up—even outside the restaurant—which says a lot. Everything is carefully packed, and the nigiri comes well-formed with fresh wasabi and proper accompaniments.
If you’re ordering out, stick to nigiri and rolls—that’s where Sakae shines. The fish is incredibly fresh (often sourced from Japan), and the cuts are clean and precise. It’s not about heavy sauces or specialty rolls—this is more traditional, quality-first sushi.
