Still the best Mexican food I've had in Springfield. All their meats are tender, juicy and flavorful. Great salsa and chips. Generous portions at good prices AND they are fast!

Taqueria El Pollo is, hands down, the absolute BEST Mexican food in Springfield. We order from them at least 3x's a month, and the food is consistently hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious! Portions are very generous, too! We get 2 orders of the Fajita Grande (loaded with Steak, chicken, shrimp, chorizo (YUM), pulled pork, & fresh veggies). 2 orders feeds my family of 6 for nearly 2 days! We do have to ask for extra tortillas on our orders, which TEP has been more than happy to do every time. If you're in the mood for bomb-A Mexican & haven't tried them, DO IT! You won't be disappointed.

The Burrito Fajitas was horrible, zero flavor and very little chicken, it was loaded with onions and peppers
Wont be eating here again.

Very good Chimichangas, probably the best in Illinois. I'm from Texas and constantly disappointed by the Mexican god and BBQ in Illinois, but this place is very very good.
