ROYAL NEPAL is located in Alexandria, Virginia (North Del Ray), in the Crystal City area. Royal Nepal Restaurant is proud to serve innovative Nepalese Indian cuisine based on traditional family recipe…
This place truly serves Nepalese fine dining. We often come back to the goat curry and lamb chop, both of which are magnificent. The crispy okra travels ok. The crispy eggplant prepared with chickpea flour not as well but the flavor is definitely there.

With jhol momos, the jhol (the soup) is too watery, momos have no taste yet they charge premium compared to other restaurants.
Wild boar curry was too salty and tasted like goat curry which I do like but I felt like that's not what I had ordered. Again, the pricing was thru the roof compared to other Nepalese restaurants in DC.

Thank you to the manager for helping me to avoid allergens. As a result, I was introduced to the Duck Fried Rice, which was excellent! The Wild Boar Curry was delicious as well. Thank you!

I got the goat Bhutan and jhol momo (chicken).
I think Bhutan could have been more spicy to feel the authentic taste and momo was just okay it didn't feel fresh and spices weren't there. As a Nepali, I was expecting a little more than that !
