Ordered a BM Gà Nướng / Grilled Chicken and a BM Heo Nướng / Grilled Pork for the first time from this place and horrible first impression. The buns are either very stale or way over toasted because they are ROCK HARD. You can’t even eat them. They are just breaking and cracking and falling apart. The last 2 inches of the ends are like a brick and completely inedible.
The filling initially looks like small blob in the middle of the bun (grilled pork - when cut in half) but when you take a bite it's quite a mouthful so its just the way it sits inside the bun 🤷♀️ The chicken you can see right away it's filled well.
This is also my first time having a BM Heo Nướng / Grilled Pork with so many chewy pieces. I dont believe I've ever encountered this. Was very disappointing.
I give 2 stars for sufficient filling amount and flavor for both buns.
I'm hoping this was a one off because I ordered shortly before close so maybe things weren't fresh. For a newly opened place it was quite a surprise and disappointment.
Maybe I'll wait a few weeks and try one more time 🤷♀️
