The original Bar Chinois in DC is my favorite takeout in DC. I didn't even know they added a new VA location until I saw where my order was being picked up from. I was excited to see they'd expandedbecaise sometimes during peak hours they don't accept delivery orders. Well, unfortunately the food I got tonight wasn't nearly as good. I got my usual Garlic Chives Gao and 1970's Garlic Noodles. The Gao are weirdly textured on the outside and gluey on the inside. Not the incredibly textured cubes from the OG. The noodles were more normal, but again don't have that sandy/cheesy texture I have grown to love. I will not order from this location again. Real bummer.
