We order from DoorDash more than I like to admit with varying degrees of success. Sarasota has some fine restaurants but it isnt known as a foodie town.
Basils however is EXCELLENT!
Their grilled chicken is some of the best I've had anywhere in the country. It's always cooked perfectly. Crispy skin, juicy meat & packed with flavor.
And their ribs shockd me. I've tried a dozen places here in SRQ ... so far Basils has topped them all easily. It's fall off the bone tender & perfectly seasoned / sauced.
I'll bet we order from here 5-6 times a month.

Half rack ribs is about 1/4 of a full slab but tender. Chicken kind of dry. Mac n cheese super bland. Taste like canned floorless cheese. Corn on the cob is 1/3 of the cob just for reference. Gravy tastes like turkey stuffing and something sour. Maybe ranch powder? or sour cream? Pita bread so so. Probably won't order again.

OMG. The 2 piece white, mashed potatos & gravy, salad, was the best thing I've eaten in a while. The portions were large and well priced. I will definitely order again.

Never disappointed always great. Chicken is flavorful and not dried out. The Greak salad and dressing is always crispy and fresh.

Great food fast delivery it was hot upon arrival rice was cooked properly mas potato and Garvey was a good portion size and the chicken was still moist and cook perfectly
