This BBQ is top notch. If you like moist brisket THIS IS THE PLACE. Consistently excellent brisket is one of the hardest challenges for a BBQ restaurant. The jalapeño cheddar sausage is outstanding as well. The pork is very good, but pulled pork is an easier meat to find done right. The price is more expensive than fast food(really not that much any more), but an excellent dinner option when you want real quality. The beans and coleslaw are wonderful side choices. The cornbread is a little crumbly for my taste, but authentic to their style.
This is may be my first review since 2019, out of hundreds of orders, don't miss out on this gem.

meat is quite fatty but the flavor is good and very tender. The corn muffin is extremely tiny, like a little baby muffin. I enjoy the taste of the beans and potato salad, although could be less liquid and more beans. Nice portion size on the sides tho! Overall I'll be back

Food arrived on time and still hot. Delicious BBQ! Best we have found in the Des Moines area. We had the brisket, pulled pork, jalapeño corn, tater salad and cheese cake. The cheese cake jar was absolutely delicious, hand down best in Des Moines area. I dont normally write reviews, but Bubbies deserves a stellar one!

We loved everything we ordered. The Brisket Sandwich and the Brisket 1 Meat Platter. We loved the brisket. Perfect amount of smoke and very tender. The potato salad was like my Grandma's-stellar! The Mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy. Not dry at all like most places. My husband loved the beans. Small pieces of brisket were in them and they were the perfect combo of sweet, smoke and tang! The best BBQ I've had in quite a while!!
