Filete De Tilapia Con Arroz Y Maduros / Tilapia Filet with White Rice and Fried Sweet Plantains was delicious, the Alfajores Pequeño / Small pastries and Pan Con Queso / Bread with Cheese are simply amazing 👏

The empanadas are bad. Unlike any Colombian empanada I have ever had. The filling is all wrong. It's like corned beef hash?! No flavor at all. I was genuinely surprised especially with how many good reviews there are here. Good pan de bonos though!

So the picture looks like like they will be crunchy, unfortunately not. I've been craving this for quite some time so I decided to order today. The flavor is AWESOME, JUST NOT THAT CRISPY SKIN YOU WOULD THINK OF.

Ate here before, I used to live in Elizabeth before I moved to Edison, and grew up eating Colombian food because there were Colombian cafes everywhere. Everytime I order from Calima's, it remind's me of home. If you didn't know Elizabeth is one of the best cities for Spanish food, especially Colombian. I missed the food from Elizabeth, and i'm grateful that now I can order from place that reminds me of the best part of the trenches. I highly recommend this place, and the coffee is the bomb.
