I'm really enjoying the Fisherman's Platter. It didn't look terrific - I was afraid the breading was soggy - but it's delicious. Unusually good fish, good shrimp, good calamari, delicious soft shell crab. Enjoying the sides too!

We decided to give Captain Lou a try for lunch today, and let’s just say… it was a little bit of a roller coaster! 😂
First, the GOOD: That shrimp po’ boy was DELICIOUS! 👏🏽 The sweet potato fries and Cajun fries were both really good too. Definitely some winners on the table!
Now, the fish and chips? My husband had those, and he said the fish was dry. Honestly, it just didn’t do much for him.
And then came the pasta… 😩 I ordered it medium spicy, but baby, that pasta was NOT playing! 🌶️🔥 It was so spicy it could’ve burned the roof of your mouth! And on top of that, it was pretty dry. Medium? Ma’am… who made that scale?! 😂
BUT… the desserts came through! The funnel cake fries were good, and the beignets were good too. So at least we got to end things on a sweet note! 🍩
Overall, Captain Lou had some definite hits and some misses. I’d absolutely go back for that shrimp po’ boy and those fries, but we’d probably skip the fish and chips and think twice before ordering anything marked “medium” spicy. 😂

Overhyped seafood. Mushy shrimp, hollow crab, and a " sauce" completely made of oil. Not worth the time or money. I'll stick to Nauti Crab.
