I have been to the China Chalet several times over the years and have always liked it. This time I was very unpleasantly surprised. The wonton soup had zero flavor, and the dumplings were very doughy (more dough than meat) and tasteless. The pork fried rice was very good, not greasy or over-soy sauce'd like at some restaurants.

So expensive. Chicken and string beans were good, not too salty which I like. The soups were essentially flavorless. For the price, I expected a quart but I got pints that were not quite filled to the top. Wonton broth was clear and tasted very watery.

Food is good but not worth the price. Ordered wonton soup and got 2 wontons and ordered dumplings and got 4 for $8.50...not worth it at all. Disappointed in the amount of food with the prices

the C20. Chilly Fish Pond small 沸腾鱼(小) was wayyy too spicy and had very few bamboo shoots in it. the 529. Lo Mein with Vegetables 素菜捞面 was mostly soy sauce noodles with very few vegetables. 208. General Tao's Chicken 左宗鸡 was ironically the best of the three we ordered.
