Good, everything was great. Taco Salad is a nice portion and fresh and Chicken Flautas fried prefect and stuffed with chicken and cheese (love those), and the Chuy Chuy Churro Bites were not greasy, worth every penny.

Ordered crispy beef tacos and they were filled poorly, and taco shells were cracked and broken. Side of rice and beans was criminally small and I was given Mexican rice when I ordered green chile rice.

Chuy's has gone to heck since it changed hands. The quality of the menu items has drastically changed. Tonight I ordered a beef burrito with Tex . It was nothing like it used to be. Like a tsp of beef and they forgot the Tex mex sauce.

I'm a long time Austin native and I have to say, I am disappointed in the quality and flavor from Chuys. They used to have beef fajitas with an amazing smokey flavor. Now, it's like trying to chew beef jerky with no flavor. I also don't count three to four slices of pepper in a sea of onion, reasonable mix.
It's very sad how the quality and flavor has diminished. I used to recommend, now, no.

This was my #1 go to for years and years. I don't want to speculate too much, but it is suspicious that the decline in quality directly coincides with the change of ownership. Portion sizes are down, and the quality & freshness are down as well.
An 8 oz Queso is something like $11, but you're lucky if the container is even half filled.
